JOHANNESBURG – Minister of Energy and Electricity Kgosientsho Ramokgopa will give an update on energy and electricity-related matters.
Ramokgopa is holding a briefing in Pretoria which is also expected to shed light on the status of the national electricity grid. 
This as South Africa has experienced uninterrupted electricity supply for more than 130 days.
According to the Sunday Times, power utility Eskom’s generation fleet is performing so well that it is placing some of its units on cold reserve due to excess capacity.
